April 1-3, 2026, the 14th International Energy Storage Summit and Exhibition (ESIE2026) was held in Beijing. EVE Energy Storage showcased end-to-end energy storage solutions across all scenarios, with a concentrated display of innovative achievements such as the ∞Cell 1175Ah long-duration energy storage battery and system, and the AIDC full-duration energy storage solution. At the event site, EVE Energy Storage officially released its complete results for a large-scale open-door burn test of the ∞Power 6.25MWh 4-hour long-duration energy storage system, and received a large-scale fire burn test certification certificate issued by the internationally authoritative institution UL Solutions. This is the world’s first open-door burn test for a long-duration energy storage system equipped with thousand-ampere-hour-class cells, setting a new industry benchmark for safety verification of long-duration energy storage systems.

Sharing Results to Upgrade Industry Safety Awareness

During the exhibition, EVE Energy Storage held the “UL-Certification Award Ceremony for the First Global Large-Scale Fire Burn Test of an Energy Storage System Using a Super Thousand-Ampere-Hour Cell.” At the meeting, the person in charge of the combustion test project at EVE Energy Storage, Chen Jiawu, a senior fire-safety design engineer, introduced in detail the test design concepts and execution process; the test videos played on site provided a panoramic view of the entire test process, key technical milestones, and final data results.

Through this open and transparent technical sharing, EVE Energy Storage transformed an extreme safety validation into industry experience that is perceivable and reusable, further strengthening the industry consensus that safety for long-duration energy storage systems should move from “design that is controllable” to “safety that can be verified.”

During the certificate-issuing segment, Chen Ti, a senior product manager in the Asia-Pacific region, Energy and Automation Business Unit at UL Solutions, stated that UL 9540A, Edition 6 (released in March 2026) has upgraded safety verification from cell and module levels to full cabinet and full-station real fire scenarios. In this test, EVE Energy Storage’s thousand-ampere-hour-class 6.25MWh long-duration energy storage system conducted a strict, full open-door, large-scale fire burn test according to this edition, simulating the most dangerous “no enclosure protection” fully burning environment. After successfully passing the extreme validation, it demonstrated the reliability of its passive safety design for long-duration energy storage systems, providing important practical reference for improving global energy storage safety standards.

This certification marks that EVE Energy Storage’s product safety has reached an internationally leading level. Since UL 9540A, Edition 6 has been adopted as an additional market-access requirement by regulatory bodies in the United States, Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and other regions, passing the test means that its 6.25MWh long-duration energy storage system has met the above stringent market-access conditions, laying a solid safety foundation for global expansion.

Safety That Can Be Verified, Global First—Extreme Testing of a 6.25MWh 4h Long-Duration Energy Storage System

Previously, under the full-scope witness of authoritative organizations and experts such as UL Solutions, the 6.25MWh 4h long-duration energy storage system conducted an extreme fire-burn validation strictly in accordance with the latest standards UL9540A2025 and NFPA855-2026. The test setup used pre-fabricated test chambers that were kept in a fully open-door state; the chamber had an “back-to-back, shoulder-to-shoulder” configuration with two 15cm extreme spacing limits; the cells were operated at full charge, 100% SOC; and multiple stringent boundary conditions were applied, including actively shutting down the active fire-suppression system. This comprehensively validated the overall safety capability of a high-energy-density energy storage system.

The test results showed that under continuous combustion conditions, the system successfully controlled the fire to a single pre-fabricated test chamber without any heat propagation between chambers. After the combustion ended, the steel chamber structure remained intact, with no obvious collapse or structural deformation. It proves that even in real fire environments, it can reliably maintain structural integrity and functional isolation—providing a safety engineering exemplar that is repeatable, traceable, and credible for the global scale deployment of long-duration energy storage.

Ecosystem Collaboration: “Lighthouse Factory” Leads New Heights in Smart Manufacturing

At the exhibition site, EVE Energy Storage, together with multiple ecosystem partners, created a fun interactive check-in activity. Focusing on the core advantages of the ∞Cell 1175Ah long-duration energy storage cell, it set up two distinctive featured segments: “Joint Booth Product Check-in” and “Main Exhibition—Lighthouse Factory Theme Check-in,” attracting large numbers of visitors to stop by for交流 and deep hands-on experience.

Worth noting is that in January 2026, EVE Energy Storage’s Chongqing base was recognized as the world’s first “lighthouse factory” in the energy storage battery industry, with the world’s first dedicated long-duration energy storage battery production line. The base deployed more than 40 digital solution sets, deeply integrating cutting-edge technologies such as generative artificial intelligence, machine learning, and artificial intelligence of things (AIoT), to build a full-chain intelligent management and control system covering everything from R&D, material selection, production manufacturing to finished-product inspection. With extreme consistency, it lays a solid foundation for energy storage batteries in high-safety, high-reliability, and high-performance aspects. The on-site interactive activities allowed visitors to feel up close EVE Energy Storage’s global leading strength in long-duration energy storage technology and extreme intelligent manufacturing.

Based on the results of this fire-burn test as a safety cornerstone, and combined with the technical innovations of the ∞Cell 1175Ah thousand-ampere-hour cells and the extreme smart manufacturing capabilities of the Chongqing “lighthouse factory,” EVE Energy Storage is accelerating efforts to promote large-scale applications of long-duration energy storage.

In the future, EVE Energy Storage will continue to focus on the core track of long-duration energy storage, leveraging product strength that can be safety-verified, fulfillment capability enabled by large-scale delivery, and solution strength covering all scenarios. Working together with global partners, it will promote high-quality development of the energy storage industry and help ensure the global energy transition proceeds steadily and goes far.
