Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision Administration Notice on the 19 Batches of Food Non-compliance (Issue No. 15, 2026)

According to the random inspection plan, the Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision and Administration organized random inspections of 1127 batches of samples across 8 categories of foods, including beverages, vegetable products, starch and starch products, pastries, bee products, catering foods, edible agricultural products, and food additives. Based on testing and determinations in accordance with food safety standards, there were 1108 batches of samples that met requirements and 19 batches that did not meet requirements (see the attachment). The results showed microbial contamination, heavy metal contamination, residues of pesticides/veterinary drugs, the use of food additives beyond the permitted scope or beyond permitted limits, and other indicator issues. In accordance with provisions such as the “Measures for the Administration of Sampling Inspections for Food Safety,” the following inspection results are now publicly released for public supervision. The details are as follows.

I. Problems of microbial contamination

(I) The “Yu Dao” (厚街店) (the operator is Dongguan City Yu Dao Catering Service Co., Ltd.) sliced poached chicken (白切鸡) sold on Ele.me (mobile app). The total plate count and Escherichia coli does not comply with the provisions of Guangdong Provincial local food safety standards.

(II) Xintang Deji Roast Goose (Kangle South Road Store) (the operator is Dongguan City Houjie Pingjie Catering Shop) sliced poached chicken with ginger and scallion (姜葱白切鸡) sold on Meituan Waimai (mobile app). The total plate count does not comply with the provisions of Guangdong Provincial local food safety standards.

(III) The dinnerware (餐碗) used by a noodle shop in Yuexiu District, Guangzhou (占军烩面馆). The coliform group and an anionic synthetic detergent (calculated as sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate) do not comply with the provisions of national food safety standards.

(IV) The dinnerware used by Jiangmen Nanhai Food and Entertainment Co., Ltd. The coliform group does not comply with the provisions of national food safety standards.

(V) Liangban okra (homemade) sold by Foshan Nanhai Xiangxiang Yiyuan Catering Shop (individual business) does not comply with the provisions of Guangdong Provincial local food safety standards for Escherichia coli.

(VI) Freshly mixed cold dishes “Liangban” (Ximen Tang Store) (the operator is Qingyuan City Qingcheng District Fuxiang Liangban Liangban Vegetable Shop (individual business)). Liangban green cucumbers (凉拌青瓜) sold on Meituan Waimai (mobile app) does not comply with the provisions of Guangdong Provincial local food safety standards for Escherichia coli.

(VII) Pure Handmade Dumpling Restaurant (Weigang Peninsula Store) (the operator is Qingyuan City Qingcheng District Xincheng Yingying Pure Handmade Dumpling Restaurant). Liangban shredded potatoes sold on Meituan Waimai (mobile app) does not comply with the provisions of Guangdong Provincial local food safety standards for the total plate count.

II. Problems of heavy metal contamination

(I) Meicai dried vegetables sold by Lugang Shenghuilong Department Store in Chaonan District, Shantou. Lead (Pb) does not comply with the provisions of national food safety standards.

(II) Red scallions sold by Guanghui Chenfeng Department Store in Wujiang District. Cadmium (Cd) does not comply with the provisions of national food safety standards.

III. Problems of pesticide/veterinary drug residues

(I) Golden pomfret sold by Foshan Baileigou Department Store Co., Ltd., Fusha Branch, Zhongshan City. Furazolidone metabolites do not comply with the provisions of national food safety standards.

(II) Water celery (celery) sold by Youyong Food Supermarket (individual business) in Fusha Town, Zhongshan City. Thiamethoxam does not comply with the provisions of national food safety standards.

IV. Problems of using food additives beyond the permitted scope or beyond permitted limits

(I) Coconut water from “Yebiguose” coconut products produced by Hainan Yecheng Ecological Food Co., Ltd., High-tech Zone Branch, sold by Fulin Jiahe Shopping Mall in Yunan District. Sorbic acid and its potassium salt (calculated as sorbic acid) and sweetener (calculated as cyclohexylamine sulfonate) do not comply with the provisions of national food safety standards.

(II) Dried yellow day lily sold by XiduoDuo Chain Co., Ltd. XiduoDuo Shopping Plaza in Meizhou City. Residual sulfur dioxide does not comply with the provisions of national food safety standards.

(III) Handcrafted classic jiuzi chicken-pie (手工经典鸡仔饼) produced by the food factory of Meixiang Laobingjia in Gonghe Town, Heshan City (鹤山市共和镇美香老饼家食品厂), as labeled and sold by Dachang Supermarket Co., Ltd. in Heshan City. Sorbic acid and its potassium salt (calculated as sorbic acid) do not comply with the provisions of national food safety standards.

(IV) Crispy “酥角子烤” pastries (糕点) produced by Leizhou Lidaoyuan Food Co., Ltd., as labeled and sold by Guoguo Specialty Foods Shop in Chikan District, Zhanjiang City. Sweetener (calculated as cyclohexylamine sulfonate) does not comply with the provisions of national food safety standards.

(V) Chaoshan sweet olives sold by Yi Zhi Lingxian Department Store Life Supermarket in Wujiang District. Sucralose does not comply with the provisions of national food safety standards.

(VI) Chaoshan sweet olives sold by Guanghui Chenfeng Department Store in Wujiang District. Sucralose does not comply with the provisions of national food safety standards.

V. Problems of other indicators

(I) Coconut-fragrance pastries (椰香饼) as labeled and produced by Yangjiang Yuxiang Food Co., Ltd. sold by Jiduohui Department Store (individual business) in Jiduohui Department Store in Lingtou Town, Dianbai District, Maoming City. Peroxide value (calculated as fat) does not comply with the provisions of national food safety standards.

(II) Dinnerware (面碗) used by a noodle shop in Jianggao, Baiyun District, Guangzhou. Anionic synthetic detergent (calculated as sodium dodecylbenzenesulfonate) does not comply with the provisions of national food safety standards.

The Guangdong Provincial Market Supervision and Administration has required the market supervision authorities within their jurisdiction to promptly investigate and handle unqualified foods and their producers/operators, to urge them to identify product flow channels, and to take measures such as removing unqualified products from shelves and recalling unqualified products to control risks, and to analyze the causes for rectification. At the same time, it requires that the market supervision authorities within their jurisdiction record the relevant information in the food safety credit files of the producers/operators and, in accordance with regulations, publicly disclose related information on the websites of market supervision authorities.
