Hey, so the Miami 1000 Masters 2026 has started, and there are interesting matches from early on. The Argentinians Navone and Carabelli debuted today, but what caught my attention were other matchups. Shapovalov vs van de Zandschulp looked tough, and Tsitsipas was also playing strongly. And well, on the men's side, there was a match that went somewhat unnoticed but featured good players: Alexandre Müller facing Berrettini. Müller came in strong from the first round.
On the women's side, things were lively too. Solana Sierra was trying to play her game against Rajimova, but what generated the most excitement was seeing Venus Williams back on the court after so long. Paula Badosa also made her tournament debut. Honestly, Putintseva vs Tjen looked like a close match.
To watch all this, Disney+ had the full broadcast and ESPN was showing the most important matches. The schedule ran from noon until past 9:30 PM in Argentina. Quite a marathon, but with good duels along the way. What you didn't expect was that Alexandre Müller would have to play so early, because those kinds of matches are usually scheduled for later in the tournament.
Anyway, it was a busy day with many debutants and some familiar names. Did you watch any of these matches?
