I just found out that BYD released the Dolphin Mini in Mexico, and honestly, the prices are crazy. We're talking about electric cars in Mexico starting at 358,800 pesos, making it the cheapest on the market right now. It’s a 100% electric hatchback with Blade battery, no gimmicks.

What's interesting is that recently BYD became the number one vehicle seller worldwide, surpassing Tesla. And now they’re here with these mini electric cars that are breaking price records. Before these Chinese brands arrived, new cars in Mexico didn’t go below 200,000 pesos; it was impossible to find anything cheaper.

The Dolphin Mini has fast charging (charges from 30% to 80% in half an hour), 4 seats, 8 airbags, 7-inch display. The top speed is 130 km/h, and it consumes between 30 to 38 kilowatt-hours. Nothing extraordinary in specs, but for that price? It’s quite competitive. The 380-kilometer range model costs 358,800 pesos, and the 300 km version is priced at 398,800 pesos.

It’s worth checking out if you’re looking for an affordable way to get around the city. Has anyone already tested one of these mini electric cars?
