IT Home March 5 news, the technology media MacRumors published a blog post today (March 5), stating that all 2026 MacBooks sold in the UK and EU countries (such as Germany, France, etc.) no longer come with a charger, and local users need to purchase one separately.

The media noted that the 2026 MacBook Neo, MacBook Air, and MacBook Pro sold in EU countries such as Germany, France, Italy, and Spain come with a reduced package, and no longer include the 20W USB-C power adapter.

This packaging reduction measure was actually quietly implemented last year on the base 14-inch MacBook Pro. If local users need a power adapter, they must purchase one separately at checkout or later through official channels.

The technology media Macrumors said this approach is in line with Apple’s consistent environmental philosophy. Currently, products such as iPhone phones and Apple Watch watches no longer include charging bricks.

However, it’s worth noting that this small change is only implemented in Europe. In markets such as Asia and North America, the 2026 MacBooks will still include a USB-C charger.

IT Home checked the Apple China official website. The 2026 MacBooks all include power adapters:

  • MacBook Neo package includes a 20W USB-C power adapter

  • 14-inch M5Pro (16-core GPU) model package includes a 70W USB-C power adapter

  • 14-inch M5Pro (20-core GPU) model package, or M5Max model package, includes a 96W USB-C power adapter

  • 16-inch MacBook Pro model package includes a 140W USB-C power adapter
