What a week in Florida, man. A lot of things happened at once: from a shooting in Miami-Dade to a guy driving 150 mph on I-95 fleeing from the police. The latter, a 24-year-old Colombian, ended up crashing in Boca Raton after a chase that looked like something out of a movie.

What caught my attention the most was the anti-immigration emergency fund that expires today. The governor has used it to fight illegal immigration, but the Cámara released a bill to restrict it. Budget negotiations are in full swing.

And well, the weather in Miami brings winds and some showers this morning, but by the afternoon it rises to 80°F with sunshine. Typical February weather around here. A high surf warning is in effect in the central part of the state.

It also came out that DeSantis is ranked 26th in popularity among governors: 54% approval but 40% disapproval. Pretty divided, honestly.

Oh, and I almost forgot: the Guardia Costera seized cocaine worth $5.6 million off Port Everglades. Two operations in one week. Florida never stops.
