Wu said that Uniswap founder Hayden Adams stated on the X platform that Drift Protocol's attack incident must serve as a warning: centralized projects claiming to be DeFi should be stopped; if admin keys can drain all funds, it is essentially CeFi, otherwise the DeFi brand will lose its meaning. He also emphasized that all versions of Uniswap do not have admin keys capable of draining funds. Previously, Chaos Labs founder Omer Goldberg pointed out that Drift Protocol's signing keys have full control over market creation, oracle allocation, and withdrawal limits, and lack time locks, multi-signature, or delay mechanisms. The attacker reportedly completed the fund theft in about 10 seconds.
