I just saw that there is a major fire in Nueva York today, in a building in Midtown Manhattan near Fifth Avenue. It’s on calle 43, quite close to where the desfile de San Patricio, which was supposed to have 2 million people, is starting. The column of smoke is enormous according to the videos circulating.

The strange thing is that they say it was caused by problems with the building’s air conditioning, but the flames looked quite intense. Luckily, there are no injuries. Still, imagine the chaos that must be today in Nueva York with the fire, the firefighters, and all the street closures for the desfile de San Patricio. Traffic must be impossible.

Emergency services are already warning about delays all over calle 43 and throughout Midtown. The desfile de San Patricio was going to pass from calle 44 to calle 79, passing by la Catedral de San Patricio. With what happened, they will probably change the plans. What a day to be in Nueva York, honestly.
