According to 1M AI News monitoring, the Dispatch feature of Anthropic AI programming tool Claude Code has added a permission mode setting. Dispatch lets users remotely delegate coding tasks from their phone to the Claude Code desktop app locally. Previously, permission control options for coding tasks were limited; now users can select a specific permission mode when initiating a task.

Claude Code product manager Noah Zweben posted about this update on X. He recommends using the Auto mode, calling it “the safest and smoothest Dispatch experience.” In Auto mode, an AI classifier evaluates the risk level of each action in real time: safe actions are automatically allowed, high-risk actions are automatically blocked, and actions fall between per-item confirmation and completely skipping permission checks. Users can also choose other already-authorized permission modes. If they choose Bypass Permissions (skip permission checks), they must manually approve it when starting the session.
