On April 2, 2026, at the 2026 CCID Forum, Su Bo, deputy director of the National Advisory Committee for the Strategic Development of a Manufacturing Powerhouse and head of the National Expert Committee on Intelligent Manufacturing, said that over the next 10 years, China will still need to keep the focus on intelligent manufacturing unchanged, and work to build an “upgraded version” of intelligent manufacturing that is a combination of virtual and real, enables independent evolution, and is safe and efficient. Efforts will be made to achieve, by 2030, that leading manufacturing enterprises above a designated size will basically adopt digitalization and networking, and that phased progress will be made in key innovation breakthroughs in next-generation intelligent manufacturing.
