State Administration for Market Regulation: By 2030, overcome major engineering challenges and technical difficulties affecting the safety and energy efficiency of special equipment, and further increase the localization rate of high-end testing instruments.

The General Administration of Market Regulation issued guidance on promoting technological innovation in special equipment safety and energy conservation. By 2030, it aims to establish a technical system centered on enhancing the safety assurance capability throughout the entire lifecycle of special equipment, building a “modern design—advanced manufacturing—intelligent maintenance” framework, overcoming major engineering challenges and difficult technical issues that impact safety and energy efficiency, and further increasing the localization rate of high-end testing instruments. It will also establish a special equipment safety and energy conservation science and technology innovation system driven by demand, with diversified investment and coordinated efforts, forming an ecosystem for the development of safety and energy-saving technological innovation that is talent-driven and based on knowledge sharing.
