Just realized Florida's actually become a serious hub for software development. Was looking for a custom dev team for a project and stumbled on way more options than I expected in Miami, Orlando, Tampa area.
Turns out there are solid companies doing real work down there. Like RAAS Cloud in Orlando has over 50 engineers and they've shipped 100+ projects across different industries. Then you've got SDSol in Miami with 300+ solutions under their belt, and Chetu with 2,800+ developers worldwide but based in Sunrise. Pretty wild the scale of some of these operations.
What's interesting is they're not just doing generic stuff either. These Florida software development firms are handling SaaS platforms, cloud systems, enterprise modernization, mobile apps, the whole stack. XeoDev, Saritasa, Simform, Bacancy - they all seem to specialize in different angles but all pretty capable.
If you're in Florida or anywhere in the US looking for custom software development, seems like you've got legit options right there without having to go offshore. The question is just matching what you need with who actually does that kind of work well. Anyone worked with any of these companies?
