Abstract generation in progress

On the morning of March 5, the Chengdu—Xiamen “Silk Road Shipping” rail-sea intermodal train departed from Chengdu, Sichuan, sounding its horn. This marks the addition of a new international logistics corridor connecting the world for Chengdu International Railway Port, injecting strong new momentum into “Sichuan goods going out of Sichuan.” The inaugural train is fully loaded with goods including mechanical and electrical products, agricultural and sideline foodstuffs, and auto parts. It departs from Chengdu Chengxiang Station, travels directly to Xiamen Qianchang Station by rail, then after transshipment onto international container ships at Xiamen Port, it is delivered by sea to Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam and Thailand. It achieves seamless integration across the entire journey, including rail transportation, port transshipment, and international maritime shipping. The fastest door-to-destination delivery time for the whole route is up to 7 days, and logistics costs are reduced by about 15%. (CCTV News)
