(MENAFN) On Tuesday, the US Treasury Department lifted sanctions on three Russian vessels.

The Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) removed the FESCO Moneron and FESCO Magadan, container ships owned by entities connected to Russian logistics company FESCO, as well as the SV Nikolay, a general cargo vessel previously blacklisted for links to Alfa-Bank, Russia’s largest private bank.

All three ships had been under sanctions since 2022. No reason was provided for the delisting.

This action comes amid wider US-Russia diplomatic engagement under the Trump administration, according to reports.
