Choosing a frying pan set can be quite a dilemma. Since I live alone, I want to store it compactly, but I also use it every day, so I can't compromise on performance. There are so many check points—IH compatibility, non-stick durability, removable handles, and more.

Therefore, I actually tested 11 popular frying pan sets from well-known brands. I compared them based on three points: non-stick performance, ease of flipping, and handle usability. I found products that are truly suitable for daily use and can handle all kinds of menus.

Ranked No. 1 is Doshisha's "evercook Frying Pan Set." It looks cute, and its non-stick performance is top-class. Eggs slide smoothly whether new or after wear. The ivory color is perfect for a new lifestyle. However, it is somewhat heavy at 834g.

Ranked No. 2 is Pearl Metal's 5-piece set. Despite its attractive price in the 3,000 yen range, the non-stick durability lasts even after two years of use. It is lightweight at 729g, making flipping easy. The handle lever is a bit stiff, but it's budget-friendly for a new lifestyle.

Ranked No. 3 is CAROTE's beige set. It has high praise for non-stick performance and a cute, uniform beige look. The handle can be attached and detached with one touch, making it convenient to serve directly from the table. It is relatively light at 796g.

Ranked No. 4 is Iris Ohyama. Its strength is the variety of options, allowing you to choose according to your lifestyle. The non-stick performance is good, and it is easy to handle at 779g. The handle stands upright for compact storage.

Ranked No. 5 is FERLORD. Weighing only 722g, it’s ideal for those who cook while flipping. It remains non-stick even after wear, and the included pad prevents scratches—though subtle, it’s very convenient.

Ranked No. 6 is Thermos. Its non-stick and deep design make it excellent for cooking with liquids. The handle can be attached and detached with one touch, making multi-pan cooking easy. However, it is relatively heavy at 953g, so those not confident in strength should be cautious.

Ranked No. 7 is Nitori. Its ultra-lightweight at 654g is its biggest appeal. Since it is sold separately, it’s easy to add more later, which is subtly important. It also has good non-stick performance and is durable for long-term use.

Ranked No. 8 is Wapow Fryeze. Its chic navy color is stylish, and it has top-class non-stick performance. However, it is heavier at 878g, and attaching or detaching the handle requires gripping levers on both sides, which can be cumbersome.

Ranked No. 9 is Takasho's PASSO. It has a simple white design. The handle is easy to attach and detach, making it convenient for simultaneous cooking. It is also oven-safe. While its non-stick performance is slightly inferior to top-tier products, it is practical.

Ranked No. 10 is Cainz. It is dishwasher safe and easy to clean. The woodgrain-style handle is stylish. Its non-stick durability is good, but the handle's attachment and detachment are operated with levers on both sides, which can be inconvenient.

When choosing a frying pan set, it depends on whether you prioritize lightweight, non-stick durability, or design—based on your lifestyle. Since it’s something you use every day, I hope you make a choice you won’t regret.
