Iran’s military warns the U.S. not to take ground action, saying it will firmly retaliate

On March 29 local time, a spokesperson for the Iran Armed Forces’ Hatem Ambia Central Command issued a statement in response to U.S. President Trump’s threat to carry out ground action against Iran. The statement said that if the relevant threats were carried out, Iran’s armed forces would respond with a firm counterattack.

The statement pointed out that the U.S. military’s operations in the region were facing a grim situation, and said that its related military deployments had been hit. At the same time, it emphasized that Iran’s armed forces were prepared to respond to any possible military action.

Iran also said that the U.S. leadership has been inconsistent in its foreign policy: on one hand, it proposes negotiations, and on the other, it continues to send military threats. The statement said that Iran will meet the relevant challenges with a firm stance.

Iranian officials said it would “decisively retaliate” as the U.S. military seizes the island

According to a report on March 29 by Iran’s Islamic Republic News Agency, Maisbashi Moghadam, a member of an Iranian expert meeting, said that if the U.S. attempts to send troops to seize Iran’s island, it would face Iran’s “decisive retaliation.”

Moghadam said that over the past 30 days, the Iranian public has continued to express its support for Iran’s armed forces through gatherings and other means.

According to a March 25 report by CNN, in recent weeks Iran has been strengthening defensive measures on its oil export hub, Khark Island, and has increased military personnel and air defense forces to guard against possible military action by the U.S. military to seize the island.

Iran: The U.S. talks about negotiations on the surface, but secretly plans a ground offensive behind the scenes—its armed forces are waiting for the U.S. military to deliver itself

According to Iranian media today (March 29), Iran’s parliament speaker Kalibaf said that the U.S. is openly talking about negotiations, but behind the scenes it is secretly planning a ground offensive. Kalibaf said that Iran’s armed forces are “waiting” for a U.S. ground offensive, and will “punish” its regional allies.
