Phoenix Net Technology, April 1, according to “One See Auto,” it was reported that Wei Bin, vice president of XPeng Group and head of the intelligent cockpit, has recently left the company. Previously, he had been on leave due to family reasons. At present, the XPeng intelligent cockpit center and the autonomous driving center have been merged to form the General Intelligence Center, which is managed by Liu Xianming.

Before his departure, the main work Wei Bin was responsible for was driving the VLM (Visual Language Model) large model to be applied in the intelligent cockpit.

Wei Bin previously served as the product director of Amap, responsible for navigation and map product planning. After joining XPeng Group at the end of 2021, he mainly served as the head of the Internet center, leading the R&D and rollout of the intelligent cockpit.

At XPeng Motors’ financial meetings for the fourth quarter of 2025 and the full year, Chairman and CEO He Xiaopeng said that the company is at a turning point in the application of physical AI.
