Alphabet (GOOGL) Stock — Two Analysts Raise Price Targets While CLO Offloads $2.4M

Alphabet’s President of Global Affairs and CLO, John Kent Walker, sold 9,093 Class C shares on March 27, 2026, pulling in roughly $2.48 million. The transactions were spread across multiple trades, with prices ranging from $273.91 to $278.30.

On March 31, Walker also disposed of and re-acquired 8,993 Class C shares in a separate transaction valued at $0 — a move typically associated with equity plan arrangements.
Despite the insider sale, the stock has delivered an 84% return over the past year.
Two Wall Street firms came out bullish on GOOGL the same week.
Needham analyst Laura Martin held her Buy rating on March 27 with a $400 price target. That target was originally raised in February from $330, following Alphabet’s Q4 earnings report.
Wells Fargo also moved on March 27, bumping its price target to $397 from $387 while keeping its Overweight rating.
Wiz Acquisition Now Complete
On March 11, Alphabet closed its $32 billion acquisition of Wiz, the cloud and AI security platform. Wiz will sit under Google Cloud while keeping its own brand.
Wells Fargo sees the deal boosting Google Cloud’s platform revenue and operating income in both fiscal 2026 and 2027.
On the product side, Google has been rolling out updates to its Gemini AI assistant. New tools now let users import chat histories from rival AI apps — a move that could pull users away from platforms like ChatGPT.

Google also released the Gemini 3.1 Flash Live audio model, built for real-time dialogue with improved precision and lower latency. It’s now available to developers and enterprises across multiple platforms.
Citizens has maintained a Market Outperform rating on Alphabet, pointing to growth in AI-powered advertiser tools and cloud.
On the legal front, Evercore analysts flagged a Delaware court ruling that could increase insurance coverage disputes involving companies including Alphabet. The ruling is seen as favorable to the insurance industry.
According to InvestingPro, the stock currently trades slightly above its calculated Fair Value.
