The White House said on Monday that negotiations with Iran are still ongoing and progressing smoothly, and added that what Tehran has publicly stated differs from what it has privately communicated to U.S. officials.

“Despite the regime’s various postures in public, and despite false reports, the negotiations are still ongoing and progressing smoothly. Of course, what it has publicly stated is vastly different from the information it has conveyed to us in private,” White House spokesperson Leavitt said.
