** Feihe’s full-life nutrition plan goes on display—science-based nutrition benefiting the world**

With global population aging accelerating and average life expectancy increasing today, how to maintain brain and bodily functional health across all stages of life has become a shared issue concerning the well-being of all humanity. Marcelo Dietrich, a professor of Comparative Medicine and Neuroscience at Yale School of Medicine, said, “Without question, metabolic health and nutrition health directly affect our aging process.”

In his report, Zhang Xuguang systematically introduced Feihe’s complete industrial closed-loop from raw materials to the market and products, as well as its layout in nutrition across the full life cycle. As introduced, Feihe has long been rooted in scientific research, leading key special projects under the 14th Five-Year Plan national key R&D program, producing multiple industry-first maternal milk research achievements. Over more than ten years, Feihe has pioneered in the industry to solve, first, the fresh extraction active processing technology for milk proteins. From fresh milk directly, it extracts 11 kinds of active ingredients, including lactoferrin, whey protein, casein, and others, preserving the natural activity and nutritional functions of milk proteins to the greatest extent. In the frontier area of brain nutrition research, Feihe was the first to discover and confirm that the golden ratio of DHA to ARA in Chinese breast milk is 1:1.7, contributing key data to global brain development research. In the future, Feihe will also continue to deepen the development of functional dairy raw materials rich in ingredients such as milk-source phospholipids and milk functional peptides.

Built on continuous innovation, Feihe is accelerating the translation and application of frontier research outcomes, providing consumers with fresher and more suitable product choices. In 2025, Feihe launched two new products, “Ji Cui” and “Qi Cui.” Both use freshly produced, live raw materials produced in-house within 30 days, and were the first in the industry to achieve “ingredient-level traceability.” Among them, Qi Cui focuses on brain development. Using a mother-derived brain-nurturing nutrition structure as the formulation benchmark, it fully replicates the synergistic action pattern of brain-nurturing nutrition in breast milk with top-tier content of Sn-2 DHA, 5 brain phospholipids, and 8 HMOs. Feihe’s “Star Flying Sail Fuze Rui”—the first “customized brain nutrition infant formula”—also achieved a nutrition upgrade in 2025. While continuing the golden ratio of DHA:ARA=1:1.7 and the 5 brain phospholipids formulation, it upgraded to Sn-2 DHA, providing babies with more comprehensive and more precise nutritional support.

Not limited to infant formula, Feihe extends infant-formula-grade standards across the full life cycle. It has already built a full-life product matrix covering pregnant women, infants, children, adolescents, and middle-aged and senior groups. From specialized medical-use infant formulas, infant-formula products, rice cereal, and supplementary foods for infants and young children, to cheese and snacks for adolescents, to functional nutrition products in the “Ai Ben” line and special medical-use products for those over 35 years old, as well as the “Feihe Ranch” fresh-extraction milk protein nutrition powder series—Feihe is using science-based nutrition to provide precise nutritional support for different life stages.

Leng Youbin said that, looking to the future, Feihe has the capability—and also the responsibility—to ensure its products serve people across the full life cycle. As a bridge enabling industry, academia, and research to work together, Feihe looks forward to accelerating the translation and application of frontier achievements together with more global research forces, so that humanity can become wiser, healthier, and live longer.

** Building a global research network, Feihe continues to lead the frontier of life sciences**

This summit represents yet another upgrade of collaboration between Feihe and Harvard over more than a decade. From jointly establishing the Feihe–Harvard BIDMC Nutrition Laboratory in 2014, to establishing the Feihe–Harvard BCH Brain Development Foundation in 2023, and then to bringing together global universities and institutions to explore frontier research topics—what the two sides have built together is not only a platform for academic exchange, but also an “innovation expressway” that turns the world’s top expertise into health solutions.

As of now, Feihe has established in-depth cooperation with more than 40 well-known universities and authoritative institutions across 7 countries, forming a global research ecosystem network. The research content covers the entire chain, including basic research, process innovation, product development, and clinical evidence.

Relying on the international open platform of the Feihe–Harvard BCH Brain Development Foundation, Feihe has recruited many top experts and scholars from around the world to continuously advance collaborative innovation in brain development and cognition research. In the area of industrial collaboration, Feihe works closely with global food technology companies such as DSM (Netherlands) and Arla Foods (Denmark) to conduct research on innovation of dairy ingredients. For the domestic market, Feihe has successively taken on national 863 projects, as well as key special projects and sub-projects under the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan” and the “Fourteenth Five-Year Plan,” jointly tackling dairy protein deep-processing technologies with the “national research team,” developing a new generation of infant formulas, and reconstructing the industry’s “technology coordinates.” At the same time, Feihe keeps expanding its high-level cooperation network, maintaining deep collaboration with top universities and research institutions such as Peking University Health Science Center, Tsinghua University’s Brain and Intelligence Laboratory, and Capital Medical University. Focusing on frontier directions such as early-life and prenatal nutrition, brain development and cognition, and functional nutrition foods, Feihe builds joint research centers and industry-university-research special projects. It continuously promotes the transformation of frontier research into industrial applications, advancing the development of human health with global wisdom.

Christopher Walsh, an academician of the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and Director of Genetics and Genomics at Harvard Boston Children’s Hospital, highly praised Feihe: “Academia and industry are highly complementary. It is impossible to transform research results into truly feasible solutions and promote their application by academia alone. Without Feihe’s support, our research would not have been possible.”

Kong Dong, a professor in pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, also said: “Feihe is transforming from a traditional dairy company into a biotechnology pioneer focused on functional nutrition, advanced protein supply, and lifelong brain health. In international frontier research topics and collaborative efforts, the deep participation of a Chinese enterprise like Feihe has extraordinary value for the industry-university-research-use approach that we advocate.”

** From “sailing ships overseas” to “winning global fans,” China’s dairy solutions benefit the world**

Feihe’s continued deep cultivation in its global research network ultimately points to product innovation and market expansion. Feihe is accelerating its “going global” steps with technological innovation as the driving force. Leng Youbin said that China’s dairy “sailing ships overseas” is absolutely not just a simple export of products; it is a comprehensive export of standards, technology, and responsibility.

As it is understood, in the North American market, Feihe has built the first-ever and currently the only infant formula factory in Canada. Since production and commercialization began in 2024, the infant formula produced by Feihe Canada has successfully entered North America’s retail stores—more than 1,600 large supermarkets—winning widespread praise from local consumers. This means that China’s dairy standards and model are being accepted by developed-country markets under the most stringent testing.

(Feihe’s infant formula produced at its Canada plant has entered more than 1,600 large supermarkets across North America, earning broad praise from local consumers)

In Southeast Asia, led by the Philippines, Feihe launched AceKid pure fresh milk formula as its first stop. The product quality exceeds the EU benchmark, providing local consumers with fresher and healthier nutrition choices. Currently, Feihe AceKid has successfully entered nearly 500 stores in the Philippines, covering 80% of local high-end retail outlets. Recently, the AceKid series was successfully approved for entry into the Indonesian market, becoming the first Chinese milk formula brand there. Feihe is redefining Southeast Asian consumers’ perception of China’s dairy industry with higher-standard products.

From North America to Southeast Asia, Feihe will convert the product standards and research-and-development strength that have been validated in the China market into nutrition solutions that serve families worldwide. This is not only the export of products, but also the leap of China’s dairy industry from “scale leadership” to “value leadership”—from exporting products to exporting standards, from catching up on technology to leading with technology, and from a local champion to a global player.

With frontier research as the foundation, full-life products as the carrier, and global markets as the path, Feihe is proving with real actions that China’s dairy industry not only has the strength to provide higher-quality nutrition choices for families around the world, but also has the confidence to participate in the formulation of global industry rules. Looking to the future, Feihe will continue to deepen its focus on the frontier of life sciences, accelerating the translation and commercialization of scientific research outcomes, so that China’s dairy innovation solutions can benefit the world.
