President Trump Extends Deadline for Diplomacy with Iran

President Donald Trump has extended the negotiation deadline with Iran over the Strait of Hormuz by an additional ten days. The decision was announced via the "Truth Social" platform, indicating ongoing diplomatic talks with Tehran.

Trump stated that the negotiations are progressing well despite conflicting media reports. He described the temporary pause as a response to a request from Iranian officials.

The extension delays potential strikes on Iran’s energy infrastructure until April 6, 2026. Trump pointed to flexibility in the deadlines, noting that previous warnings have also changed.

He confirmed that the United States has already achieved strategic gains in this conflict, which has now lasted nearly four weeks.

According to The Wall Street Journal, President Trump has signed off on a strategy to launch a ground invasion of Iran that could take up to two months.

Tensions are escalating following Iranian missile attacks that injured more than 15 American citizens at a military base in Saudi Arabia.
