The fine for vehicle verification in Querétaro has recently increased significantly this year. If you don't complete your vehicle verification on time, you could be fined more than 1,700 pesos. Since February, the new UMA value has been set at 117.31 pesos, so all sanctions related to vehicle procedures have been adjusted throughout Mexico.

The fine for late verification in Querétaro ranges from 703 to nearly 1,760 pesos depending on the case. And the worst part is that it increases each period you delay, so if you have multiple overdue verifications, the bill gets heavier. Additionally, if you fail the inspection at the verification centers, you'll be charged around 125 pesos more.

To complete the process, you need to bring your current vehicle registration card, official ID, and if it's a new car, the invoice. The key is to pay attention to the color of the sticker and the last digit of your license plate to avoid fines for overdue verification. In Querétaro, practically everyone who drives a private vehicle, taxi, or transportation service must do this procedure, so it's best not to miss the deadline.
