On the evening of March 30, Midea Group officially released its 2025 annual performance report. In 2025, Midea Group achieved total operating revenue of RMB 458.5 billion, up 12.1%; attributable net profit of RMB 43.95 billion, up 14.0%, with its net profit margin rising to 9.7%. The business structure continued to be optimized: the growth rate of its ToB (business-to-business) business (+17.5%) was faster than that of its ToC (business-to-consumer) business (+11.3%), demonstrating strong momentum for a second growth curve. At the same time, the overseas market achieved revenue of RMB 195.9 billion, up 15.9%, and the globalization strategy has shown clear results.

The report shows that in 2025, Midea’s R&D investment was RMB 17.8 billion, up 9.6%. During the reporting period, the company made technological breakthroughs in multiple fields, adding 27 provincial and ministerial-level first prizes in science and technology awards and 47 internationally leading outcomes for scientific and technological achievements appraisal, with cumulative global granted patents exceeding 13,000. Notably, in February this year, at the Foshan High-Quality Development Conference, Midea Group Chairman Fang Hongbo stated that Midea has already built an in-house AI team of more than 400 people, and will focus on four core application scenarios—smart home, intelligent manufacturing, smart office, and industry empowerment—to build “the home brain” and “the factory brain,” thereby reshaping the industrial ecosystem.

In terms of product innovation, Midea has launched a number of new products that lead the industry, including the “whole-home air agent” that redefines home companionship; the world’s first standard-height “three-tube zoned washing-drying all-in-one machine”; the “new-generation V9 multi-split system” with an innovative AC/DC hybrid architecture; and the world’s first integrated “KMR IICO composite robot,” among others, highlighting its strong technological strength.

Artificial intelligence (AI) has become the new engine driving business growth. AIGC technology helped improve internal operational efficiency by more than 15 million hours, with value contribution reaching RMB 700 million. The company has already deployed AI for home appliance products across over 150 categories, and has the capability to connect to more than 500 million smart home appliances, providing users with intelligent service experiences through the “Xiaomei AI agents.” On the manufacturing side, AI-enabled production scheduling improves response speed by 50%.

Midea Group’s business segments—including industrial technology, building technology, robotics and automation, smart home, and energy storage—have all achieved steady development. Among them, industrial technology maintains a leading global share in core components such as air-conditioner compressors and motors; in building technology, sales revenue of central air-conditioning, commercial multi-split systems, and centrifugal machines all rank first in the domestic market; KUKA China contributes nearly 30% of revenue, with domestic shipments of industrial robots exceeding 32,000 units, consistently staying in the top three in the industry.

In terms of sustainable development, Midea Group officially joined the Responsible Minerals Initiative (RMI). Cumulative photovoltaic installed capacity reached 412 megawatts; product recycling volume exceeded 13.8 million units; and user satisfaction reached 99.02%. The company’s efforts have received broad recognition from the international community. For the tenth consecutive year, it was selected as a Fortune Global 500 company (ranked No. 246, up 31 places), and was included in S&P Global’s “Sustainability Yearbook 2026,” where it also received the “Best Progress Award.” In addition, Midea’s Thailand air-conditioning plant was recognized by the World Economic Forum as a “Supply Chain Resilience Lighthouse Factory,” becoming the first overseas lighthouse factory in China’s home appliance industry.
