For SRD, there's an online contact details page where you can update your number and they'll send you an OTP to confirm. Just make sure you're using the official SASSA portal and not some random website because there are apparently fake sites trying to scam people. Honestly, if the online stuff isn't working, just go to your local SASSA office directly. It might take some time but at least you know it's being done properly.
