Multiple manufacturers report a clear rebound in MLCCs, with some specifications increasing prices by 10%-15% from their lows.
“Rebounding” and “price increases” have become the industry’s high-frequency terms for MLCCs at present. Several interviewees said that MLCC spot prices have started to rise gradually since last October. A general manager of an MLCC company in South China told a reporter from Blue Whale News that, at present, the spot price increases for some high-spec products reach 10%-15%, while the spot price increases for mid- to low-spec products are about 5%-8%. A supplier of upstream barium titanate for MLCCs said that its downstream well-known high-end MLCC manufacturers in Guangdong still maintained a production state of “keeping the furnaces burning” during the Spring Festival. In addition, an order from a well-known MLCC manufacturer in Hunan has even been scheduled for six months later. A securities department representative from Fenghua Advanced Technology told reporters that the company’s current capacity utilization has rebounded to 80%-90%. (Blue Whale News)
