Odaily Planet Daily reports that Francesco Pesole of ING (International Group) stated in a report that reopening the Strait of Hormuz may be a necessary condition to facilitate a larger decline in the US dollar. Trump said that US military actions in Iran could conclude within two to three weeks, while Iran’s president Pezeshkian stated that if certain conditions are met, Tehran has the “necessary willingness to end the war.” However, it remains unclear whether the Strait of Hormuz will be reopened. Pesole said: “We believe that only when the timeline and route for reopening the Strait are clearer, the US Dollar Index DXY could fall back to the low of 99.0 on March 23.”
