At least 39 companies must suspend trading for failing to disclose their earnings in 2023.
HKEX (00388) said a spokesperson that, among 2,005 Hong Kong listed companies in Hong Kong for the financial year ended last December, 1,966 companies have already published their full-year results audited and agreed by their auditors.
There are 39 companies that need to suspend trading because they were unable to publish their 2025 full-year results audited and agreed by their auditors, which is a clear decrease from 67 companies last year. The number is also the lowest since 2023.
The spokesperson said that HKEX is committed to maintaining a fair and orderly market. It will continue to monitor market conditions and maintain communication with relevant issuers to ensure they comply with the requirements of the Listing Rules, and to shorten the suspension period as much as possible.
