On April 1, local time March 31, according to U.S. sources, thousands of additional U.S. soldiers are being deployed to the Middle East. Two U.S. officials stated that the USS George H.W. Bush aircraft carrier has been deployed on that day, planning to head to the Middle East alongside three destroyers. The carrier strike group consists of over 6,000 sailors. Additionally, according to two anonymous U.S. officials, thousands of soldiers from the 82nd Airborne Division have also begun to arrive in the Middle East.
