In the next 20 years, the demand for civil aviation engines in our country will exceed 40,000 units (sets).
On March 30, Gao Jie, assistant general manager of AVIC Aero-Engine and chairman of AVIC Aero-Engine Civil Aviation Power, said that in the next 20 years, the demand for various traditional general aviation engines in China—including piston, turboshaft, turboprop, and turbofan engines—will exceed 11,600 units, with a market value of more than 85.17 billion yuan. Hybrid-electric and pure-electric power systems and traditional engine types will coexist for the long term and will have momentum to surpass them. The demand for China’s electric propulsion systems is expected to reach 31,000 sets, including 18.6 thousand sets for pure-electric systems and 12.4 thousand sets for hybrid-electric systems, with a total market value of about 200 billion yuan.
