This startup company is facing an increasing number of legal lawsuits

On Friday, Washington State Attorney General Nick Brown filed a lawsuit against prediction market startup Kalshi, accusing it of being an illegal gambling operation—its latest round of legal action.

Kalshi and Polymarket have both said that their business does not fall under gambling. Even so, their rapid expansion in the mainstream U.S. market has made them a key target of regulators.
