Amir, Saudi, Jordanian Leaders In Tripartite Meeting

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, Saudi Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, and Jordan’s King Abdullah II bin al-Hussein held a tripartite meeting during which they discussed regional and international developments and the efforts made to reduce escalation and enhance security and stability in the region.

During the meeting held in Jeddah yesterday, the leaders discussed efforts to contain tensions in light of the rapid developments in the region, the continued Iranian aggression, and the challenges it poses to regional and international security and stability, including its repercussions on global energy supplies and the stability of its markets.

His Highness the Amir, Saudi crown prince and Jordanian king also exchanged views on key issues of common interest, stressing the importance of continuing close co-ordination and consultation regarding various developments, in a way that reflects the depth of the fraternal and strategic relations that bind the sister countries, and that enhances common interests. The leaders stressed the need to unify efforts and co-ordinate stances to address current challenges to preserve the security and stability of the region, and to protect the sovereignty of its countries and the interests of its people.

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim al-Thani, HE the Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani, HE the Chief of the Amiri Diwan Abdullah bin Mohammed al-Khulaifi, and a number of Their Excellencies senior officials attended the meeting.

On Saudi side, the meeting was attended by Deputy Governor of Makkah Region Prince Saud bin Mishaal bin Abdulaziz al-Saud, Minister of State, Member of the Cabinet, and National Security Adviser Musaed bin

Mohammed al-Aiban, alongside a number of Their Excellencies senior officials.

On Jordan’s side, the meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Ayman Safadi and a number of Their Excellencies senior officials. (QNA)
