Taiwan Affairs Office: Industrial development depends on a peaceful and stable external environment

On March 25, the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council held a regular press conference. A reporter asked about how the situation across the Taiwan Strait affects the global technology supply chain. Spokesperson Zhu Fenglian said that industrial development cannot do without a peaceful and stable external environment, and this is even more true for industries such as artificial intelligence and semiconductors that are highly dependent on global industrial and supply chains. The reason businesspeople have such concerns is that the Democratic Progressive Party authorities have been constantly colluding with external forces to pursue “independence” and provoke challenges, which has led to tension and turmoil in the situation across the Taiwan Strait.
