Turkey’s Stock Market Opens Flat with Minor Gains

(MENAFN) Türkiye’s main stock index, the BIST 100, started Monday’s session at 12,709.29 points, reflecting a marginal increase of 0.09% or 11.1 points.

In the previous week, the index had slipped 0.23% to finish at 12,698.19 points, with daily trading activity totaling 112 billion liras (around $2.52 billion), according to reports.

By 10:10 a.m. local time (07:10 GMT), currency exchange rates were recorded at 44.4680 Turkish liras per US dollar, 51.2180 per euro, and 58.9840 per British pound.

Meanwhile, the price of gold per ounce stood at $4,531.60, and Brent crude futures were trading at $115.8 per barrel.
