The Japanese and South Korean stock markets opened sharply higher, with South Korea's KOSPI rising 5.3%.

ChainCatcher news, according to Jintou, overnight U.S. stocks surged, and the stock markets in Japan and South Korea followed the rally. The Korea KOSPI index opened on April 1 (Wednesday) with a rise of 267.92 points, an increase of 5.3%, to 5,320.38 points. The Nikkei 225 index opened the same day with an increase of 883.17 points, up 1.73%, reaching 51,946.89 points.
