People’s Finance and News, March 30—Reported by a reporter: The China Ordnance Industries Group said that China’s first 7-ton-class large transport drone—the Changying-8—will make its maiden flight soon at the Zhengzhou Shangjie Airport. Verification will be carried out on key subjects across each system of the unmanned aerial vehicle, including intelligent flight control, power and fuel, and flight performance and quality. At present, preparations for the maiden flight are ready. The Changying-8 is a domestically developed large transport drone. It is 17 meters long, with a wingspan of up to 25 meters. A cargo hold with an ultra-large volume of 18 cubic meters can accommodate multiple types of standard aviation containers and specialized cold-chain transport containers. In addition, loading and unloading can be completed within 15 minutes, greatly improving logistics turnaround efficiency. (CCTV News)
