Recently, Citic Bank has unveiled its new “Parent-Child Financial Service System,” focusing on the diverse needs of parent-child families in building household wealth, covering children’s education expenses, and achieving value preservation and appreciation of family investments. It is understood that this system is centered on a “Doggy Money” co-branded debit card, with two main lines: youth development and household wealth management. Recently, Citic Bank, together with Citic Publishing Group, launched the “Doggy Money” co-branded debit card based on the business-and-finance IP “Doggy Money.” It attracted a large number of parent groups who, after the Spring Festival, wanted to save their children’s lucky money.

“Doggy Money” has been a global bestseller for 20 years, with cumulative sales exceeding 10 million copies. Industry observers believe it fills the gap in the domestic children’s financial-literacy literature field and pioneered a composite content model of “handbook + fairy-tale narration.”

Citic Bank said that the concepts conveyed in the book—such as saving, planning, and setting goals—closely align with the financial literacy and money mindset it aims to convey in its parent-child financial services. It hopes that through this co-branded card, children can gradually understand and build the right wealth philosophy while getting acquainted with basic financial tools. According to information, the card has already been launched simultaneously at Citic Bank’s branches nationwide and in its mobile banking app. Users who open an account may have the chance to receive a “Doggy Money” co-branded themed gift box package. Parents can apply online and activate offline, handling a child’s first bank card during youth.

In addition to the co-branded debit card, Citic Bank’s “Parent-Child Financial Service System” also includes “parent-child account” services.
