Gome Retail announced an annual loss of 5.944 billion yuan as of the end of December last year, and forecasted that the loss will increase to 11.629 billion yuan in 2024. During this period, revenue increased to 538 million yuan, but gross profit margin declined, mainly due to changes in product categories. Excluding non-operating losses, the actual loss was 939 million yuan, with a net cash outflow from operating activities of 25 million yuan.

Guomei Retail (00493) announced that for the year ended as of the end of last December, it recorded a loss of 5.944 billion yuan (RMB; the same applies below), with a loss per share of 12.6 cents, and no final dividend will be paid; the loss for the same period in 2024 was 11.629 billion yuan.

During the period, revenue was 538 million yuan, up 13.56% year on year. Gross margin was 4.65%, down 10.96 percentage points year on year, mainly due to different product categories in the reporting period.

If the loss from non-operating items is deducted, it would be 939 million yuan; the loss for the same period in 2024 was 1.238 billion yuan. Net cash outflow from operating activities for the full year was 25 million yuan, compared with 12 million yuan for the same period in 2024.
