Cleared out in indecision.
Wavering through the weekend, today I liquidated my positions. Thanks to Big A—today they didn’t deduct any money. Last week I had the desire to buy because the market was up, but no matter what, with such a large position, the fund kept holding me back. I entered the market at the end of January this year, buying funds when the index was close to 4100 points. February was fine—I didn’t lose money. But this month it dropped directly by 8%. Being in a large position has been very tormenting. Today the situation became tense; there will be negotiations again tomorrow. But it doesn’t prevent me from losing money almost every day. Today I cut my losses. I didn’t feel any relief at all. I’m still very anxious, afraid it will rise back again next month. Entering this market every day leaves my mind and body exhausted—I keep wanting to check the charts, and I can’t control it. Over the past few years, I’ve gone in and out of the market several times, and without exception, I’ve lost money when I exited. Is this the typical retail investor?
