India issues preliminary anti-dumping ruling on Chinese PET films
On March 21, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry of India issued an announcement with regard to anti-dumping affirmative preliminary findings on PET film originating in or imported from China, Bangladesh, and Thailand. It recommends imposing temporary anti-dumping duties on the products concerned from the above-mentioned countries. The duty rates are 56–216 USD/ton for China, 206–330 USD/ton for Bangladesh, and 139–245 USD/ton for Thailand. For details on the duty assessment, see the attached table. In addition, in light of the withdrawal application submitted by the applicant, the anti-dumping investigation into PET film originating in or imported from the United States is terminated. The products concerned are PET films with a thickness of 8 to 100 microns, excluding PET films used for solar panels and heat lamination films. The Indian customs codes for the products concerned are 39206210, 39206220, 39206290, 39206919, and 39219094. (China Trade Remedy Information Network)
