I just reviewed how Messi's wealth has evolved over the past decade, and it's impressive. From around $280 million in 2016 to nearly $900 million projected for 2026. The growth has been steady, especially after 2021 when it jumped to $600 million, driven by those mega European contracts and record-breaking sponsorships.
The interesting thing is that while Messi's net worth continues to grow year after year thanks to high-profile transfers and business partnerships in the U.S. and Europe, the crypto market experiences more volatile movements. Looking at the tokens now: SAHARA is at $0.02, down 5.98% in 24h; GWEI is around $0.04 with a +2.93%; and LAYER is at $0.08 with a 0.75% decline. Quite different from the stability generated by success in global tournaments, right?
Celebrities like Messi see their wealth grow predictably with secured contracts, but here in crypto, everything is more unpredictable. It's interesting to see how two very different worlds generate wealth.
