On March 30, ZTE Corporation held a 2025 annual performance briefing. At the meeting, ZTE’s management exchanged views with investors around key issues including the implementation of its “Connectivity + Computing Power” strategy, the building of full-stack AI capabilities, balancing the scale and profitability of its computing power business, network business challenges and its 6G rollout, AI phone innovation, and expansion in international markets.

According to the company’s annual report, in 2025 the company achieved revenue of 133.9 billion yuan and net profit attributable to shareholders of 5.62 billion yuan. Of these, the computing power business delivered leapfrog growth, with full-year revenue from computing power products increasing by approximately 150% year over year.

ZTE disclosed that its computing power products have already entered the market among leading customers such as Alibaba, Tencent, and ByteDance. As the scale of computing power products grows, the company is also gradually accumulating and improving its experience and capabilities in areas such as product solution capability, supply chain capability, market layout, and customer cooperation, laying an important foundation for the long-term development of its computing power business. In 2026, the company’s computing power products will leverage scale-based leverage to enhance professional operating capabilities, transitioning from product operations toward ecosystem operations in order to achieve a balance of revenue and profitability.

6G, as the next-generation mobile communications technology, is a core battleground for the new global round of scientific and technological revolution and industrial transformation. A relevant负责人 at ZTE believes that in the era of the internet of intelligent agents, 6G will be an important foundational infrastructure for the symbiosis between humans and intelligent agents, supporting changes in three areas of future intelligent agent business: the connected entities, interaction content, and service paradigms.

According to ZTE, the company began investing in 6G pre-research in 2018, anchored on leading 6G technology and commercial nodes in 2030, and advanced standards formulation, pre-research on key technologies, and prototype verification. At the same time, it actively promoted 6G ecosystem development and scenario exploration. In terms of core technologies, the company built a systematic set of core end-to-end capabilities in the whole chain based on standards, chips, algorithms, and architecture, forming a “2+4” key technology layout for the 6G field, including two major technical highlands—space/air/ground integration and the convergence of communications and AI—and four major evolutionary technologies—extreme spectral efficiency, new-quality interconnection of things, capability expansion, and trusted security.
