IT Home reported on March 17 that tonight, at Niu Electric’s 2026 new product strategy launch event, the company officially unveiled the world’s first AI intelligent two-wheeler vehicle infotainment system—Niu Lingxi AIOS. At the same time, Niu also brought two world’s first AI intelligent two-wheeler vehicles: the NXT2 electric bicycle under the new national standard and the high-performance electric motorcycle NX2.

According to the introduction, Niu Lingxi AIOS is defined as the “intelligent hub for the two-wheeler smart ecosystem,” and is also the industry’s first mass-produced two-wheeler intelligent infotainment system featuring the Qwen3.5 large model. The new system also pioneers an AI intelligent voice assistant—“Niu Student.” Currently, the beta version has been fully launched for public testing. This time, it will be offered free with the NXT2. Users can wake up the vehicle by saying “Hello Niu,” enabling full-vehicle voice control and natural conversation to facilitate convenient vehicle operation.

The official stated that in the future, Niu Student will provide more convenient interactions and richer practical scenarios through continuous training and ongoing OTA upgrades. The new system also includes a “NIU ZOO” cute pet feature, and supports one-click switching of multiple themes for the vehicle’s dashboard infotainment, as well as freely customizing screen components and sound wallpapers. Additionally, Niu Lingxi AIOS supports seamless phone connection, enabling iOS screen mirroring and Hongmeng ultra-fast linking (the page screenshots in the official posters are similar to the CarPlay / HiCar interfaces).

Currently, Niu Lingxi AIOS has received the “First All-Scenario Intelligent Color Screen Interaction Ecosystem” certification issued by the internationally authoritative research and consulting firm Shangpu Consulting. The core highlights of the new system are as follows:

Niu also launched two flagship electric vehicles, the NXT2 and NX2, targeting urban professionals and performance enthusiasts respectively. The NXT2 is positioned as the “world’s first AI new national standard electric bicycle,” featuring an HC420+Q20 high-strength frame, full-range light belt headlights, Saifu ABS+TCS, and ten major intelligent features. The retail guide price for the NXT2 Ultra version is 13,499 yuan. With early-bird reservations, the launch price is 12,799 yuan, and it is available immediately upon release.

The NX2 is positioned as the world’s first high-performance AI electric motorcycle, equipped with a new high-strength alloy steel frame. It also supports AR real-scene navigation, face recognition, and customizable widgets. The bike adopts a super-wide tire design to improve grip, and its lightweight body combined with aerodynamic optimization enhances the riding experience.

In addition, Niu Electric announced a partnership with Qualcomm, applying its Snapdragon digital chassis solution and multiple system-level chips (SoC) for two-wheelers across several Niu Electric models. Niu also partnered with Shanghai Haisida, which provides a Listening solution based on the open-source Hongmeng operating system. Together with the Hongmeng open-source community, this collaboration aims to help Niu become a brand that deeply develops an open-source Hongmeng ecosystem and intelligent operating system for two-wheelers.

Furthermore, Niu has partnered with Zebra Intelligent and Unisoc (603236), among others: Zebra Intelligent and Niu Electric jointly developed the world’s first “designed for two-wheelers” intelligent cockpit solution; Unisoc provides Niu Electric with an overall smart mobility solution focused on real-world applications of two-wheelers, enhancing remote services such as anti-theft tracking, vehicle status reporting, and remote control. Amap also supplies Niu Electric with an all-encompassing security early warning system based on Eagle Eye Guard.
