**After Oil, Trump Wants to Seize Iran's Uranium to End the War**
U.S. President (AS) Donald Trump is pressuring Iran to consider surrendering its uranium as a condition to end the war, according to a Wall Street Journal report.
The goal of this plan is to prevent Iran from developing or building nuclear weapons, and Tehran is said to be unable to store the material. This could escalate tensions between the two in reaching a ceasefire agreement.
Later, Trump will task his military to extract nearly 1,000 pounds of uranium, which could allow his troops to occupy Iranian territory within a few days or even longer.
It is known that Iran is believed to have more than 400 kilograms of highly enriched uranium at 60%, and nearly 200 kilograms of fissile material at 20%. This raw material makes it easier for Tehran to develop nuclear weapons.
Previously, Trump revealed that his intention to attack Iran was to loot its oil, not because of its leaders. He also targeted Kharg Island, which is the center of Tehran's oil exports.
“My preference is to take the oil. My favorite thing is to take Iran’s oil, but some fools in the US say ‘why are you doing that?’,” he told the Financial Times, citing CNBC, Monday (30/03).
