On March 29 local time, according to U.S. military sources, two U.S. military officials revealed that hundreds of members of the American military’s special operations forces have arrived in the Middle East to join thousands of Marines and Army paratroopers. These special operations forces include Army Rangers and Navy SEALs, and they have not yet been assigned specific missions. It is understood that the total U.S. military personnel stationed in the Middle East has exceeded 50,000, an increase of approximately 10,000 compared to normal levels. Last week, the U.S. Department of Defense also ordered about 2,000 soldiers from the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division to be deployed to the Middle East. A military official stated that these paratroopers will be within striking distance of Iran and may be used for operations targeting Hark Island. (CCTV News)
