Cardano ecosystem privacy sidechain project Midnight Network launched its mainnet today, focusing on programmable privacy and compliance capabilities. It uses a hybrid ledger and local zero-knowledge proof architecture, and introduces a NIGHT / DUST dual-token model to separate governance from transaction costs, aiming to support institutional applications and real-world asset onboarding. The network is currently progressing in phases, operated by multiple organizations, with plans to gradually achieve decentralization.
