U.S. President Donald Trump posted on a social platform today (March 30), saying, “The United States is holding serious consultations with an entirely new, more rational (Iranian) regime on ending our military action in Iran. While we have already made major progress, if we are not able to reach an agreement in the short term—although an agreement is very likely to be reached—and if the Strait of Hormuz is not immediately reopened for navigation, we will end our ‘pleasant stay’ in Iran by destroying and completely flattening all of Iran’s power plants, oil wells, and Khark Island—possibly including all seawater desalination plants as well. These are objectives we have, up to now, deliberately not touched.”
