According to monitoring by 1M AI News, the Doubao app has launched its shopping feature. After users input product recommendation questions in conversations, Doubao will embed product cards in its responses, allowing users to click and be redirected to Douyin Mall to complete their purchases. Purchased orders can be viewed in ‘My - Settings - My Orders’, but users need to bind their Douyin accounts. This feature is now fully available, and users do not need to have beta testing qualifications to use it. The Doubao app updated its privacy policy on March 19, adding a ‘Shopping Feature’ entry, which states that this feature is provided by the partner e-commerce platform Shanghai Gewu Zhipin Network Technology Co., Ltd. and its affiliates. Shanghai Gewu Zhipin is an affiliate of Douyin E-commerce.
