Vietnam vs. Bali: my takeaways
- Value: Cost of living is very cheap in both regions
- Cuisine: Local food is excellent and affordable
- Hospitality: Extremely friendly locals
- Convenience: Efficiency of "Super Apps" like Grab
- Culture: Highly developed digital nomad scene and very high English proficiency (Bali)
- Infrastructure: Bali’s infrastructure is critically overloaded and the island is overhyped imho
- Pollution: Vietnam suffers from high atmospheric smog; Both struggle with waste management
- Humidity: High average humidity (80%)
Loved visiting both for the first time. Also looking forward to be back on my continent.
