I recently looked at statistics on crypto adoption, and it's truly astonishing how quickly the top countries by cryptocurrency are growing. It turns out that over 560 million people worldwide are using crypto — that's nearly 7% of the entire global population.

The most interesting part is which countries are leading. India is in the lead by absolute numbers — about 93 million users — but Vietnam has overtaken everyone in terms of population share, with one in five people using crypto. In the US, there are 53 million users, holding the record for transaction volume. Brazil, the Philippines, Pakistan — everywhere, crypto has already become part of daily life.

What really surprised me is that even in China, despite all the bans, there are still 59 million active users. Nigeria has become the top country in Africa, and Iran, with 12 million, is also on the list. The Philippines is popular for cross-border transfers — which makes sense given migration patterns.

The trend is clear: crypto is replacing traditional banks where the financial system is inaccessible or unstable. The center of growth is shifting to Asia and Oceania. Inflation and currency instability are pushing people toward crypto. It turns out that the top countries by cryptocurrency adoption are less about technology and more about financial necessity.
