U.S. media: Nationwide protests against the Trump administration erupt, expected to involve over 9 million people, possibly the “largest protest in American history”

According to reports from the Associated Press and other U.S. media, on March 28 local time, large-scale protests against the Trump administration broke out across the United States. Organizers stated that more than 3,100 protest events are planned across all 50 states, with over 9 million expected to participate, which could make it the largest protest gathering in American history.

On March 28 local time, citizens held a protest against the Trump administration in New York.

Reports indicate that the organizers of the “No kings” protest claim that the first two rounds of “No kings” gatherings attracted over 5 million and 7 million participants last June and October, respectively. It is anticipated that over 9 million will participate in the protest on March 28. A total of more than 3,100 protest events have been registered across all 50 states, an increase of 500 from last October.

On March 28 local time, citizens protested against the Trump administration in Georgia, with demonstrators holding signs that read “America First is a Lie” and “Food prices are rising, gas prices are rising.”

Organizer representative Gillie Porter expressed encouragement, noting that over 50% of the protests on the 28th are taking place in states and regions where voters generally lean Republican or where bipartisan support is roughly equal. “The statistics are impressive. This is meaningful. This is not a partisan issue. This is actually the most patriotic thing you can do,” Gillie Porter said.

NBC reported that protesters expressed their anger over issues related to Iran, immigration, and more. Earlier this month, a nationwide poll conducted by the media found that most registered voters in the U.S. are dissatisfied with how the Trump administration is handling immigration, Iran, inflation, and the cost of living.
